Agenda version 2 adds on to the end of the usual agenda setup process - so you can build the agenda the same way you always do. It only takes a few steps to use the newer version, which features a cleaner layout, live search, and shows speaker images at a glance.
Basic Setup
- In EcoAdmin, start in Agenda Builder as normal
- Configure Agenda (orange button), then click the Settings tab. Set Agenda Version dropdown to 2.0. Close the popup window and click the teal Save button.
- Click Configure Agenda again, then click the Days tab. Copy the Meta Title and Description fields for Main Day 1, then paste into a text file and remove any instances of the date or "Day 1" to make it generic (applies to all days)
- Pages (red button), then click the Create button on the right
- Name = Full Agenda
- Meta Title = paste from step 2
- Meta Description = paste from step 2
- Save
- Head back to Pages, then click the "Default" button on your new page. This will autosave.
- Still in Pages, click the link to review the new page in a new browser tab. Fix any irregularities before going live. Any "Group 1" type headings can be removed in Agenda Builder by clicking the edit icon on each appropriate group (left side tab). You can send a Zendesk ticket if you have any issues you aren't sure how to resolve.
- Once it looks good, you can send a ticket to the web team to add the agenda to the website navigation. Provide the URL from above with the label you'd like (usually "View Full Schedule")
Settings Tab: Set Agenda Version to 2.0 and Save
Pages: Create a new Full Agenda page set as the Default
Setting Up Tags for Filtering
This optional step is ideal for larger or more complex events. It adds a Filtering dropdown menu after Search, which allows a website visitor to view only the sessions they want from categories and tags you define. Tags can cover anything: Topics, Session Types, Rooms, Tracks, etc.
- In Agenda Builder, click Tags & Filters (blue button)
- Time and Session Type should be Off. We will ignore these.
- Type the name of your first Filter Category and click "Add Filter". Repeat this for all parent categories you want to use (Topic, Format, Track, etc)
- Each Filter name can be edited by clicking on the label. You can also click the color to the right to open a color picker. Try to use colors that match your event brand palette.
- Underneath each Filter you can click to start typing the name of each Tag. Hit enter to add the tag. You can click on existing tags to edit the label.
- Close the window when you've added all your Filter Categories and Tags. Click the teal Save button.
- A new tab should appear in the main Agenda Builder window on the right side labelled "Tags". You can drag and drop these onto each session in the agenda to assign them. Sessions can have any number of tags from any categories. Save after assigning tags to each Day, and review the live page to check your work.
- (Optional) Configure Agenda > Settings > Display Agenda 2 Category Labels - you can turn this on to display the Filter Category name in the Tag label on each session. Example:
- OFF = "Building a Better Tomorrow"
- ON = "Track: Building a Better Tomorrow

Creating Custom Filter Pages
This optional step allows you to create pre-filtered pages based on Tags, search, or days. It is ideal if you want to promote specific tracks or topics via email or the home page.
- In Agenda Builder, click Pages (red button), click Create
- Similar to the original "Basic Setup", give the page a Name, Meta Title, and Meta Description - however, select something unique to the filtered page you wish to create. For example "Women in Retail" or "AI Best Practices"
- In the live page preview below, simply use the filters you wish to apply so the sessions/days you wish to showcase are visible. This is how the page will look whenever someone loads the new link. Click Save when ready.
- Click page to Pages. Your new page and link should be visible. You can repeat the process for as many pre-filtered pages as you need.
- DO NOT change the 'Default' page - this should always be the Full Agenda
- Note that someone accessing a pre-filtered page can still add and delete filters as normal - it still functions as the full agenda. However, the default view (after a refresh, etc) will always be the filtered view you created.
Example with pre-filtered pages for each Topic, with Full Agenda still set to Default
